Preschool
The Heights Community Preschool is a multi-age program. We serve the whole child through family partnerships, developmentally appropriate practices, and inclusive learning environments. We provide inclusive classrooms that support whole child learning and acceptance so that each student experiences belonging, and has a foundation for future life and educational pathways.
Our program has two locations with the majority of our classrooms being held at the Heights Learning Center (HLC). We have one classroom, which is Papermaker Preschool, located at Camas High School (CHS). Papermaker Preschool has a unique partnership with the high school Child Development students. Please visit the Papermaker tab on our preschool website for more information.
Please note, when you register for preschool you will be able to indicate your preference for AM or PM sessions, and whether you need childcare for before or after preschool. This does not mean you are guaranteed a specific session, but we will try our best to meet your request. Each family will also fill out an Ages and Stages Questionnaire as part of the registration process. The information from the questionnaire will help us make balanced classrooms that will ensure a positive learning experience for all students, where everyone’s unique needs will be met. This means that you will not be able to request a specific teacher or location.
You will be notified of your child’s teacher, which session they are in, and which location (HLC or Papermaker). For specific details about the preschool experience, please click on the link below.
Registration was held in February. We do have limited spots remaining in our multi-age classes.
